We love vintage things, so we are a bit biased, but we know there are other people out there who appreciate the timeless and nostalgic elegance of vintage crockery too, especially when accompanied by vintage props. How lovely to hear someone say 'when I was a child, my grandmother used to serve us Sunday dinner on plates like these'

Are you having a DIY rustic wedding and need to hire crockery? Why not make it vintage crockery to really elevate your table settings. 

 

Many hire companies will set out individual prices for every single item, from teaspoon to dinner plate. On initial inspection this looks quite cheap, but when you start adding up the numbers it soon becomes a costly venture.

 

We want to make it simple for you to see the hire cost for your guest count. That is why we have created cost effective price tiers for you. We wanted to give you more for your money as the numbers get higher because catering is one of the largest costs you have to pay as part of your wedding day. 

 

We hire out our vintage crockery in sets of four. Why? Because most teapots and cake stands hold enough tea and food for four people and it makes sense to use that as a guide for numbers.

What is included in each tea set for four people:

 

1 x uniquely endearing teapot

1 x charming milk jug and matching or complementary sugar bowl

2 x cute glass bowls for jam and clotted cream with jam spoons

1 x elegant sandwich plate (used for extra sandwiches or cake)

1 x delightfully harmonious 3-tiered china cake stand and cake slice

4 x decadent teacups, saucers and side plates (known as trios)

4 x delicate teaspoons

4 x sophisticated knives

4 x chic cake forks

 

How do you work out how many sets you will need?

 

Just round up your head count to the nearest four and we will do the rest. Don’t worry about having an extra teapot or cake plate, they always come in handy.

Vintage crockery hire - pricing

 

A set for 4 people is £25.

If you have a head count that falls in between the following tiers then add £25 for every 4 extra people. At some point it becomes cheaper to hire the next tier up and have some spares. The more you hire, the larger the discount. 

 

For 20 people - £125

For 40 people - £237

For 60 people - £356

For 80 people - £450

For 100 people - £562

For 120 people - £637

We ask that all crockery returned to us is hand washed. However if you are too worried by the delicate nature of the vintage china or don't have the time or facilities to wash the crockery then we have a Washing Up Service which is 15% of the total hire cost. 

How to order in 3 easy steps?

 

  1. If you aren’t exactly sure what you want, then book a free chat with Ema to discuss your requirements. 

  2. If you know your approximate number of table settings then you are good to go, just send us an email below and we will respond with an enquiry/ booking form to get as many details from you as possible. 

  3. We require a 50% deposit to secure your date. The hire period is for up to 3 days, this covers the delivery day, event day and collection.

Delivery and payment

  1. Delivery is free for orders over £50 and within a 10 mile radius of Aldershot, Hampshire. Charges apply for locations outside of the 10 mile radius. Ask us and we can give you the exact amount. 

  2. Yes you can collect from us if you prefer. 

  3. Final payment is due 21 days before your delivery date and final numbers are confirmed 7 days before your delivery date.
